Keeping up with Bobby Rabbits' events has never been easier!

Have you ever tried to organize a poker night or online gaming event with friends across muttiple time zones? It's a HUGE pain to track down everyone's time zones, do the math, and spread the word!!! Our new calendar is the perfect tool for connecting community members from around the world, no matter where they're located.

Installation

Click "<> code" - the green button. After clicking, in the local tab, copy the SSH key. Open the terminal in your Macbook or git bash, if you have Windows, and type:

git clone [paste ssh key]

OR

  git clone https://github.com/thebobfather2/carrotcalendar.git

I would recommend downloading Visual Studio Code to edit the code locally.

Set up firebase realtime database

Set up a firebase realtime database, your config code will replace lines 12-22 in script.js!

NOTE: You will need to click Authentication on the left and set up Sign-in providers such as Google - you don't have to use them but for some reason if you don't do this you will get errors when retrieving data.

Usage/Examples

With Carrot you can easily switch the time zone to check what time an event will take place for your friends in order to better coordinate online meetups. Additionally, when a user adds an event to the Carrot Calendar, the data is stored on the cloud! This allows multiple communities to install the app on their sites too so that events can be more easily coordinated with partnering projects! Setting up a Rumble Royale, a Twitter Space, or Poker Night with friends across the globe has never been easier!
