Detailed description

QuizMaster Insights is a proposed feature enhancement aimed at augmenting the educational value of quiz-based applications within our project. This feature intends to provide immediate, detailed feedback on quiz questions, offering not just the correct answers but also comprehensive explanations and insights into why a particular answer is correct.

Context

The primary goal of QuizMaster Insights is to transform quizzes from mere assessments into learning opportunities. By providing users with the correct answers and explanatory context, this aims to foster a deeper understanding of the subject matter, encourage self-reflection on misconceptions, and support continuous learning.

Possible implementation

1)Upon completion of a quiz, or after each question (configurable by the user or admin), QuizMaster Insights will display the correct answer alongside a detailed explanation. This explanation could include references, further reading links, and contextual knowledge that enriches the user's understanding.
2)This feature could be implemented as an optional toggle for educators or quiz creators, allowing them to choose when and how to reveal answers and insights, based on their pedagogical approach.

Additional information

benefits of this feature :
-Enhanced Learning Experience
-Customizable Feedback: Provides flexibility to educators
conclusion :
QuizMaster Insights is not just a feature; it’s a step towards redefining the role of quizzes in learning ecosystems. By bridging the gap between assessment and education, we can create a more engaging, informative, and transformative learning experience for users of all ages and backgrounds.

well I tried to work on it but i didn't find any solutions but I really think that this feature should be added in the quizzes to help the user learn from their mistakes

is this basically ,adding additional notes when the user gets the answer wrong?
@ArkadiK94 can i work on this ?

@firassssss yes, you can work on it but do it in a way that it will not affect the flow of the quiz and consider that not every user would like to see it.

@firassssss this icon should be beside the correct answer after picking any answer, in my opinion, because in this way hard to understand to what it is related.
What do you think?

@firassssss Hmm, ok, now it looks a little bit strange that you click in one place and it appears in different place.

Hmm, what do you say about making it all as different section under the possible answers that the user can open or close?
Because I am not sure that this space is enough for all cases maybe we will need to have a paragraph that explains the answer...

I would like to hear your thoughts before you jump to do it :)

in my opinion , the info button is places in an optimal position , even if the user is not paying attention the button is next to the latest place he clicked on (the wrong answer) . he does not need to look for it .
but for the additional info text , putting it under the questions will make the user look for it , (specially if the list on answers is long '4answrs and every answer is 2 lines )but in that position it will be very clear and you can add a reasonable paragraph there as shows the screen shot

the paragraph has 100 word

@firassssss I don't like how it looks, what do you say about making it a modal window?

I think that the quiz should be at top section and the Button should be at the bottom right as all other quiz websites are doing . This will improve the user experience

@ZizouX0 could you provide such a website so we will see an example for implementation?
Or even a screenshot/short video

@firassssss We don't use a components library. I will check if we have anywhere a modal window and I will let you know.

src/components/Common/PopUpWindow.jsx

if you need to modify this common component in some way make sure that you check other places that this component is used, which is only in FeedPagePost.jsx file.

can we use different styles for a component used in different components ?
exemple : can he set a styling for the popUpWindow in component1 with out effecting the styling of the PopUpWindow in component2 ?
how does this work ?

@Salem-Bourguiba
I can think of two options.

  1. Pass new boolean prop to the PopUpWindow component which will indicate when to use the different style
  2. Wrap the component inside a local component and in styles you can point on the component element, for example if it is a button, in styles you will do something like: div{button{}}

I prefer using first approach for the major of the cases.

i can achieve this by sending a prop containing custom styles to the popupwindow component

I know it just the design of the button is always at the right bottom that's what people are used of in this case it is a "next" button .So i think that we can add the "show answer " button on that side for an optimal user experience .
