This article should tell you everything you need to know about how to use JukeIt.

Repeating Music (Pro Only)

Implemented in 2.2.0

To repeat music you can attach A Repeater Chip to a Record Player. The repeater chip can only be attached to the newer Record Player (and can not be attached to the older jukeboxes).

Craft a Repeater like so:

Repeater Chip Recipe

Attach the repeater to the side of a Record Player by holding a Repeater Chip in hand, and right clicking on the side of a Record Player.

Once the Repeater Chip has been attached to a Record Player, you can Right-Click on the Repeater Chip Block to open the GUI, in which you can set the repeat time:

Repeater Chip GUI

This repeater is set to trigger in 10 minutes and 22 seconds.

Drag the time slider to match the time you would like the Record Player to repeat. The minimum repeat time is 1 minute, and the maximum repeat time is 90 minutes.

In order for the Repeater Chip to activate, the Record Player (that the repeater chip is attached to) must be powered by redstone. The Record Player's indicator light will light up green if the Record Player is receiving power, or red if it is not.

If you try to attach multiple Repeater Chips, only one of them will be used (the first one found by the block cycle)

The New Disc Machine

The Disc Machine is a new block which acts like a Disc Utility Block. The Disc Machine has the ability to label discs, color blank discs, color burned discs (new!), cloning discs (new!), and can also manufacture items with discs as a primary ingredient, through its own custom GUI.

When you interact with the block after you have placed it, a GUI will open up, like this:

Disc Machine GUI

After you have placed a disc in the disc slot, and ANY other item in the ? slot, the start button will appear. Press the start button and watch the magic.

Dont be shy, shove anything you can in there! if it doesn't work it will just spit it back out. But if it does work... well... who knows.

See the Recipes page for details on how to craft the Disc Machine.

Obsidyiscs

Obsidyiscs store the music you want to play. More specifically, it holds a URL pointing to a .ogg or .wav hosted on the internet. You must store your music somewhere on the internet to use it, whether it be your own website, or a file hosting service like Drop-Box. You must have a direct link to the music file, and it must be .ogg or .wav

Coloring Obsidyiscs

Changing an Obsidyiscs Color

You can color obsidyiscs in the Disc Machine. Simply combine ANY disc (Blank or Burned!) with a dye.

Labeling Obsidyiscs

You can only label burned discs. In the Disc Machine, place a disc in the disc slot, and a paper in the ? slot. After placing both items, the Disc Labeling window will appear.

Coloring Obsidyiscs

Cloning Obsidyiscs

You can clone discs by combining any burned disc, with a blank disc, in the Disc Machine. The original and the new copy will be ejected from the machine.

Burning Obsidyiscs

Obsidyisc Burner

In order to burn discs, or attach a url, you must first craft an Obsidyisc Burner, and place it in the world.

Obsidyisc Burner Recipe

Using the Burner

With a Blank Disc in your hand, right click on an Obsidyisc Burner to activate the GUI.

WARNING! Once you've burned an Obsidyisc, you can't re-burn it. Choose wisely.

Server Music List (Pro Only)

Items in this list are songs that are hosted on your server. Just select the one you want, and hit the burn button! This option is only available if it is enabled in the config, and configured properly.

JukeIt ships with one included song "Battle Jesus vs Cyborg Hitler".

Custom URL's

You can provide urls to music that is hosted elsewhere, like your own servers, or dropbox or whatnots. Simply paste a complete url to a music file (direct links only!) in the URL tab of the disc burner.

URL's MUST BE complete DIRECT urls, and must end in .wav, .ogg, or .mp3.

ogg's have the smallest file size and are recommended.

Click the Burn! button, and the Obsidyisc Burner will burn your disc and eject it for you to retrieve.

this option is only available if enabled in the JukeIt config.

Playing Obsidyiscs

To play a burned Obsidyisc, you will need an Obsidyisc Jukebox, or the one of the New Record Players which for now, we will also consider an Obsidyisc Jukebox. Craft an Obsidyisc jukebox and place it in your world somewhere.

After you have placed your Jukebox into the world, hold a Burned Obsidyisc in your hand, and right click it on the Jukebox. You will insert the Obsidyisc into the Jukebox. Right click again to eject the disc. If using a new Record Player, please read the above sections regarding the Record Player ot see how it operates, if you have not already.

NOTE: The first time a song plays for you, it will have to download to your client. The song is fully downloaded to your client before it can be played. Spout will then cache the song so you will no longer have to download it again, and playing the song again will be instantaneous.

Depending on the size of the song to be downloaded, it could take a while. You will be notified when the download begins, and you will be notified when the download ends. If you don't get a notification, you could have a bad burn. If the download never completes, and you think it should, maybe the URL cannot be connected to. Either way, the first time you hear a song, you wont hear it right away, don't be alarmed.

The Old Jukeboxes

The old jukeboxes are deprecated and may be removed from the plugin in the future.

Crafting the Jukeboxes

There are 5 Jukeboxes. Each jukebox has a determined audible range, which is how far away a player can hear the music.

The New Record Player

The Record Player has several components to function. The different components can effect the record player, such as the audible range.

The Needle

Every Record player requires a Needle to operate. Holding a needle in hand, and interacting (right clicking) on a Record Player will insert the needle into the record player. Interacting again will eject the needle.

In the future, different needles will provide useful effects, such as increased range modifier, or the ability to play original Minecraft records.

Speakers

While not required at the moment, Speakers will enhance the range of a record player. By placing a speaker directly next to a Record Player, you will increase the output range by 20, for each speaker. A Speaker block must be placed directly next to the record player, so it is attached, and will do absolutely nothing if on its own. The Current Record Player supports up to 2 (two) speaker attachments.

In the future, there may be different speakers which have greater ranges or different effects.

Speaker Recipe

The Record Player

The Record Player has a base range of 10 blocks. Adding Speakers to to it will increase the audio range!. This Record Player supports up to 2 additional speakers. Once placing a Record Player, you absolutely must insert a Needle (see above) for it to work. Afterwords insert an Obsidyisc and enjoy.

In the future there will be more types of record players which support more attachments and have different effects.

Using the Web Interface (Pro Only)

If you server has enabled, you can upload music to your server through a web interface. Uploads are immediately available in the burner block.

wavs, oggs, and mp3's can be uploaded.

Web GUI Screenie

To access the web gui, open your favorite web browser and navigate to http://[your-server-address]:8080

the port (8080) may be different for your server depending on how your server administrator configured it. You will have to ask what port it is set to.
