The Code

The code for this is pretty simple add and subtract the parts that you want.

Here are the must haves.

   function onSignIn(googleUser) {
   var profile = googleUser.getBasicProfile();
   console.log('ID: ' + profile.getId());

   // Do not send to your backend! Use an ID token instead.
   // Now the Name of the user is in the variable userName.

   var userName = profile.getName();

   document.getElementById("userName").innerHTML = userName;

   console.log('Email: ' + profile.getEmail()); // This is null if the 'email' scope is not present.
   }

js that allows the website to fetch and implement the data form the Google Client

  <div class="g-signin2" data-onsuccess="onSignIn" data-theme="dark"></div>

Button for Google Login

  <meta name="google-signin-client_id" content="CLIENT_ID">
  <script src="https://apis.google.com/js/platform.js" async defer></script>

This meta tag is the key that allows you to open your "apartment" (Personal Google Developer Console)

The script tag lets you into the "apartment complex" (General Google APIs)
