Manually changing the birthdate in the "edit person" form doesn't work

Describe the bug

On the "edit person" form (used by WRT), the birthdate field pops up a calendar to pick a date.
If we manually enter the date's value in the input (in the appropriate format), and the focus of the input is lost (eg: by hitting "enter" or clicking elsewhere), then the input's value is reset to the date in the calendar.

To Reproduce

Try to manually set the date in the input of the "edit person" form.

Expected behavior

It should not set the date back to the calendar's date.
