Fix default version logic in thin-edge install script

Proposed changes

Fix logic which was setting the default version after the version comparison which decides what package naming convention to use (e.g. underscores or dashes).

• Improvement (general improvements like code refactoring that doesn't explicitly fix a bug or add any new functionality)
