TSOC_MINIPROG_ADAPTER is a USB Serial, JTAG, and I2C programming adapter for thingSoc, and an example thingSoC Reference Design.
thingSoC is an open source standard that defines a vendor independent socket system for the creation of new Internet Things with automatic configuration options. The thingSoC Default Programming Connector (DPC) is a sixteen(16) pin dual row type, with 254mm spacing, and is compatible with what is refered to in the industry as the "FTDI Basic" connector. thingSoC supports a wide variety of programming interfaces, including JTAG/SWD, I2C, SPI, UART, and USB Serial, and the Default Programming Connector (DPC) can support a number of simultaineous interfaces.
The TSOC_MINIPROG_ADAPTER facilitates the use of "FTDI" USB to UART Serial Adapters like the Sparkfun FTDI Basic Breakout for serial bootstrap programming. The TSOC_MINIPROG_ADAPTER also facilitates the use of "MiniProg" programmers, such as the MiniProg3, MiniProg1, and PSoC3/4/5 KitProg.
The thingSoC Reference Designs are example thingSoC implementations that implement various reference and testing circuits for demonstrating the use of the thingSoC libraries. These reference designs are complete designs and can also serve as starting templates for users to customize.
