Add explicit unlink to intermediate files from processors.

We experienced the same issue as explained in #1326.
Our attempt to fix this issue with jruby was adding an explicit unlink to all intermediate files from the processor chain.
What do you think about this solution? Are there any caveats we don't see right now?
