Hello all,
I noticed that in the QRP Labs Receiver Module, Hans uses a a hand-wound transformer to create both a positive and negative version of the antenna signal before going into the FST3253. This negative version of the input signal goes to pin 7 of the FST3253. He also uses a second set of op amps on the output. I believe the second set of op-amps are what is needed to make the mixer "double-balanced". Has anyone experimented with these modifications? If they are not helpful for SSB demodulation, where might they be helpful? Out of band noise?
