Configuration:

  • launcher version 7.1.1
  • Oculus Quest 2 (now on v62 firmware)
  • English (UK) language
  • HorizonFeed shortcut

Steps (at least on my config):

  1. Hover HorizonFeed
  2. Run any VR game from the launcher

Actual result - game is started in window of the launcher instead of full VR (like 3D film) or just black screen.
If I start launcher from Unknown sources and then start the game from it - all work fine.

Usually I see such behavior after oculus fw update.

Reinstalling shortcut service/updating to the latest version of launcher usually fixed that issue for me in the past.
But not this time.

Same issue here. Deleting Lightning Launcher user data and cache then reinstalling didn't resolve the issue. It seems like the first launch of any app from the shorcut-launched launcher will reproduce this behavior. Subsequent launches of the app from the same shorcut-launched launcher will open in VR properly if you dont restart the headset.
