Need an assist with Start-TssSecretChangePassword

Hi,

I am having an issue with the Start-TssSecretChangePassword on rev 0.46.2. I was able to execute the PowerShell cmdlet successfully to start the secret change. Still, I am getting failures with password does not meet the minimum requirement, etc., on the remote password changing status. I tried running these several ways, and I am getting the same errors. When I manually run the "change password now" through the web portal, it works (both the random and manual mode).

1st Attempt: I followed the example in the docs:

Start-TssSecretChangePassword -TssSession $Sess -Id "16" -Type Random

This failed with the password does not meet minimum requirement etc.

2nd Attempt:
I generate a new password based on the secret I am trying to change. Then convert it to secure pwd and passed it into Start-TssSecretChangePassword.

$newPassword = Invoke-TssSecretGeneratePassword -TssSession $Sess -Id "16" -Slug 'password'
$SecurePass = ConvertTo-SecureString $newPassword -AsPlainText -Force
Start-TssSecretChangePassword -TssSession $Sess -Id $16 -Type "Manual" -NextPassword $SecurePass

This also failed with the same "password does not meet minimum requirement..." error.

3rd Attempt:

$newPassword = Invoke-TssSecretGeneratePassword -TssSession $Sess -Id "16" -Slug 'password'
Set-TssSecretField -TssSession $Sess -Id "16 -Slug 'password' -Value $newPassword
$SecurePass = ConvertTo-SecureString $newPassword -AsPlainText -Force
Start-TssSecretChangePassword -TssSession $Sess -Id 16 -Type "Manual" -NextPassword $SecurePass

This also failed with the same errors.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

I found out the issue was not with the Start-TssSecretChangePassword. It was an update to the AD password requirement and we need to change the Secret template to match the AD requirement.
