This PR does:

Increases BATMAN_OVERHEAD to 48
Adds the nodst flag back to the macvlan iface creation
Fixes harmless error log pollution
Error handling when calling create_mess.sh with non-existent bridge

As well as some little refactoring here and there ⭐
