For the 2008-02 we only need a check for ZF < 1.7.
The issue should be solved in 2009-05

Zend Framework 1.8 Beta 1, which is feature complete, is out now (see http://www.zfforum.de/showthread.php?t=3821 ).

Maybe Tine 2.0 should skip ZF 1.7 and instead migrate directly to ZF 1.8, when it is final.

Migrated tine20 to the latest stable Zend Framework version 1.8.4, see http://z-net.de/jnotes/2009/07/tine20-zend-framework-upgrade-from-version-1-6-to-1-8-4/.

However, I did not update the Zend_Server_Json classes because of major conceptual changes.

Zend_Server_Json is now patched because of our exception handling
