The example project is attempting to access the Session during Application Start. This is throwing a "Session state is not available in this context." HttpException.

Yes, that's true. I accidentally committed recent unstable changes to master, not to seprate branch. Right now I'm doing recent pull request merge, and I'll fix this issue. Thanks for spotting this!
