Shoreman

Shoreman is a CLI tool for detecting changes and building container images for a image repository stored in Git. It is intended to be operated either manually or in a automated workflow such as Github Actions.

Installation

To install for the current user

git clone https://github.com/tmacro/shoreman.git
cd shoreman
pip install --user .

Usage

usage: shoreman [-h] [-c CONFIG_PATH] [-r REPO_PATH] [-p PREFIX] [--ref GIT_REF] [-v] [-d] {version,changes,build} ...

A tool for managing docker image repos

options:
  -h, --help            show this help message and exit
  -c CONFIG_PATH, --config CONFIG_PATH
                        Specify an alternate config file relative to the repository root
                        (default: shoreman.conf)
  -r REPO_PATH, --repo REPO_PATH
                        Path to the git repository to operate on
                        (default: .)
  -p PREFIX, --prefix PREFIX
                        Relative path to the directory containing images
  --ref GIT_REF         Git reference to inspect.
  -v, --verbose         Enable verbose logging
  -d, --dry-run         Don't execute any commands. Only log actions that would have been taken.

Commands:
  {version,changes,build}
    version             Print program version
    changes             Print detected image changes
    build               Build changed images
