I press Ctrl Alt 2 and the console pops up but I can't enter any commands.

I have the same issue. I'm on Ubuntu Linux.

The issue is exclusively with Aqemu. I ran the same virtual machine with regular qemu from the command line and it worked. For some reason Aqemu is not listing the compatmonitor0 as one of the connections so it moves Serial0 to the key mapping for crtl-alt-2.

I have this as well (suspect everyone does). Any way to get AQEMU to manually put compatmonitor0 as a connection?

EDIT:
Ok, just found a workaround, if you go in the VM "Info" tab while it's running you can do VM > QEMU Monitor. This might work.

You can also change the Floppy, CD, and USB mounting from here (Connect menu).
