I'm trying to pass a custom file location by using:
env-cmd -f env.sandbox
but it keeps complaining that:
Error: Unable to locate env file at default location (./.env)

Nevermind, It seems to be okay now. Not sure what changed, but reinstalling it seems to have fixed the issue
