This fixes compatibility with the FreeBSD operating system.

Thank you for the contribution. Looks like the acceptance tests have been broken by so I'll have to fix them before I can push out a new release. Should hopefully not take too long. |

On FreeBSD the group of user root is not "root", but "wheel" instead. By using the GID instead of the group name we can easily workaround this incompatibility between Linux and FreeBSD.
