Performance on larger PSD

First, love the script!

This isn't necessarily an issue, but more of an inquiry...

I would like to write a similar script to get all of this information for all the layers in a PSD file without Photoshop locking down. Is this possible? We're talking an average designer's layer load (+50 layers). If not, is there an alternative (besides telling them to use AI)?

Many of the default scripts provided in PS slow down tremendously on iteration of the layers in the document. Is there another technique to avoid this overhead?
