Good afternoon,

I'd like to propose a new feature for jqGrid, although it's probably more a feature for the inline editing functionality.

Other grids (such as Microsoft's DataGridView) allow you to provide a blank row at the bottom of the grid for data entry at any time. This avoids having to press a 'New row' button. An example of this is at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32337875/populate-datagridview-with-a-default-empty-row (see screenshot in accepted answer).

Is there any possibility this could be added into jqGrid? I acknowledge this would be a larger change.

Kind Regards,
Jan

Hello Jan,

Sorry for the late answer. Under some condition I missed this post.
I think this is a good idea and will try to implement it in next release.
Will notify here if it is ready.

Kind Regards,
Tony

Hello Tony,

Just wanted to check in on this and ask if you've had any time to think about this, or even prototype it?

Kind Regards,
Jan
