Vimeo: highest quality version not selected

Video2commons seems to simply download video that is directly displayed on the page. However, Vimeo sometimes offers the same video in significantly higher quality via the Download button.

I have noticed it with this unicode video https://vimeo.com/48858289 where it was easy to spot as the highest resolution version (1920 × 1080, 2.47 GB) was in avi, however, Video2commons downloaded mp4 video which is in lower resolution (1280 × 720, 981.717 MB).

To debug this problem I recommend this 160 MB video by Wikimedia Foundation for testing https://vimeo.com/202862112. I assume that video2commons uses youtube-dl for downloading videos and youtube-dl on my computer has only downloaded its 120 MB version, so some other approach must most likely be used to get the higher resolution version.

To use Vimeo's Download button, JavaScript must be enabled for vimeo.com and vimeocdn.com which probably complicates automating of this task.
