Hy, it seems that the version is making the macvim open the document at a new window... and Yes I have this properly seted at the macvim configuration. Please take a look.

Thanks

Seeing this too in 0.3.2.

I'm new to macvim(vim) so am trying to become more 'vim-like' in my editing habits. I'd like to keep newly opened files in the same macvim window/session and manage as vim-windows or buffers.

Don't know if there could be options for macvim to open in the same macvim window as a new vim-styled window which either does an h-split or v-split, or open to a new buffer within the same macvim window.

Sorry if as clear as mud!

Ok reading the manual helps. My macvim config preferences needed changing per the help file. This fixed it for me.

To fix this issue on 0.3.5 and OS X 10.7, here's what I did:

Open MacVim Preferences
Under General tab:
Open files from applications: -> in the current window (with a tab for each file)
