Magisk 17.0 and 17.1fail zip signature verification #540
Comments
Please refer to Topjohnwu's Twitter thread at https://twitter.com/topjohnwu/status/1035912594446594049 and close this if its enough. |
I don't think it is relevant: trying to install 17.0 or 17.1 in TWRP fails the signature check, so they are not installed at all. |
Did you unchecked signature verification in TWRP settings? |
Are you serious ? |
I said that because TWRP only check whether it is signed by the test key and topjohnwu use his own private key (refer to #531) |
Hey, um..i get these notifications in my email and for as much as I just
screw around for cause and effect with my own device it sure is really cool
to feel even mildly competent reading what real developers are talking
about. Lol, hope this isnt too out of pocket. Im trying to mess around long
enough to maybe figure out a way to flashunlock without a dt. who knows...

Thanks, this explains it and makes sense. Since it was working up to 16.7, maybe it could be added to the change log ? |
Duplicate #531 |
Can I root my moto g play 2021? Without a computer by chance |
Trying to install Magisk 17.0 or 17.1 from TWRP fails because of failed zip signature verification.
Magisk 16.7 did install correctly.
