Integrating Vue ECharts

Julian Knight edited this page Mar 1, 2021 · 6 revisions

UPDATE: 2021-03-01 - There appear to be some issues with this charting library. Firstly, they have moved their current version to only work with VueJS v3. Since VueJS v3 is not yet feature complete and there are many Vue components that don't yet work with it, this would seem to be severely premature.

The last version of eCharts that works with Vue v2 is v5.0.2. More information available in this forum post.

The website gives an alternative for making later versions work which is to use the VueJS composition-api library @vue/composition-api.

In addition, it appears that ECharts doesn't work with Android Chrome at this time.

Here is a very simple example of producing a bar chart using Vue-ECharts which integrates ECHARTS with VueJS along with uibuilder v2, VueJS and bootstrap-vue.

Add an instance of uibuilder to your flows and replace the index.html and index.js files with the code below.

I'm loading the chart libraries using a CDN here, the next step would be to install the two packages using uibuilder's npm interface.

The example flow sends a random number to the app every 10 seconds which is used to update the chart.

Note that the following flow also includes 2 comment nodes containing the html and javascript.
