Installing Custom Themes into Notepad++

After unzipping, copy all the .xml files into the themes folder within the Notepad++ folder. This folder can usually be found in either

C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\themes ->> for 32-bit

C:\Program Files\Notepad++\themes ->> for 64-bit

or, more commonly

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\themes

If you cannot find the themes folder in any of those places, do a search. (Maybe even a reinstall and pay particular attention where the files will be placed.)

And that's it. You can then access and/or test out your themes in Notepad++ by selecting

Settings > Style Configurator

from the main menu. The Style Configurator window will open up, and at the top will be a drop down menu asking you to 'Select a theme'. All your newly installed themes should be there. If they are not, review the steps.

Note: Make certain that you have a file in your preferred language (html, css... ) open so that you can see how various themes look for your particular language file.
