Thamnophis sirtalis (Linnaeus, 1758) does not match

213159078 Thamnophis sirtalis (Linnaeus, 1758) from https://github.com/trias-project/alien-herpetofauna-belgium does not match with the backbone (and is added to the verification spreadsheet) even though the species is present: https://www.gbif.org/species/2457522 I don't understand why.

Thanks for that, but it should not have ended up in the verification spreadsheet to start with. Don't understand why GBIF name matching doesn't match this name, while the API does: https://api.gbif.org/v1/species/match?strict=true&kingdom=animalia&name=Thamnophis%20sirtalis%20(Linnaeus,%201758)

Well, as far as I understood from Marcus is that what API or rgbif does is not exactly what it happens behind the screen while you publish a checklist to GBIF. Result is almost the same but not exactly the same.

Is this another example of this open issue? gbif/backbone-feedback#88
