Hello,

This may be outside the scope of your plugin, but I was wondering if you have established a pattern for using flex-directory to manage several entries collections.

For instance, I would like to use flex-directory to manage both a collection of users like in your example, and a set of real estate properties.

After reading the source it seems like flex-directory can only manage one collection at a time. Would you recommend forking the plugin and installing a modified version of it for every collection I want to manage?

Thanks,
Austin

@rhukster awesome, thanks for the quick reply.

What would you say is the state of that branch?

Is there anything I can do to help move it along?

it needs some testing, primarily backwards compatibility testing. Not sure all the settings in flex-directory options are working. that kinda stuff.

@rhukster sounds like you guys are pretty close.

Do you mind posting the .yaml configuration files you are using so that I can do some testing?

I don't know if I can really help with backwards compat since I'm not a legacy user, but I can definitely help update the docs and submit a PR for the new README.

It also needs a way to select which types are enabled and which are not in plugin settings (admin). Otherwise it's pretty much done.

We have replacement plugin (Flex Objects, which uses Grav 1.6 classes) in works for this -- we are currently fixing bugs in it, there are a few because I've been focusing client work and not the parts we didn't need. Maybe there will be a public beta soon?

Is it worth waiting for, or will it be possible to import Flex Directory data into the new plugin?

It's possible to use the existing data, but you may need to do some tweaks in the configuration to make it work.
