Using Arch linux, openbox wm .....
I have been using this for a long time and working fine.
Recently, after installing a flatpak app, the desktop file is located in ~/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share/applications.
The obmenu-generator does not find it. If I move the file to ~/.local/share/applications, it then shows in the menu.
All my xdg paths are correct (i.e. the ~/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share/applications directory is in the XDG_DATA_DIRS path)
other menu editor applications (menulibre, lxqt menu-cache) will find the desktop file.
So it seems that obmenu-generator is not searching all the paths .......

Subject: Re: [trizen/obmenu-generator] some desktop files not showing up in menu (Issue #50)
obmenu-generator is searching only the paths specified in desktop_files_paths (see config-file).
Maybe, by default, the directories specified in $XDG_DATA_DIRS should be included in the search list. This is currently not implemented.
