Curiously this happens when scrolling one line by one line. When changing to window.scrollBy(0,sign*2); it's ok.
Not an acceptable fix, though...

Bug not reproduced on Firefox

No happening anymore on the example site given.
May still be the case on websites with custom scrolling mechanism. Lately not encountered.
