Hi here,

The test target of the shipped makefile doesn't work (because testit.sh doesn't exist)

Sorry, but what are you talking about? I added testit.sh in 960b9bc and the latest autobuild manages to checkout, build and run the tests perfectly https://travis-ci.org/troglobit/netcalc/builds/77064128

Maybe you didn't run ./autogen.sh first? The shipped Makefile.am is not what you want to run plain vanilla ...

... or are you trying to run from an unzipped dist package? Yeah, that's it ... I see it now. Seems testit.sh is not part of the dist ... my bad.
