Note that these are just estimates and actual progress will be based on time available to work on this project:

Short-term (0-3 months)

• Fix MQTT discovery messages so they don't create warnings with new versions of Home Assistant
• Add support for on-demand snapshots for cameras
• For doorbells allow snapshot on ding in addition to motion
• Enable/disable chirps for keypad

v5.6.x

Ongoing bug fix and maintenance updates

Mid-term (3-6 months)

v5.7.0

• Proper device online/offline for all devices (make it possible to tell an offline device vs offline socket/API vs non-running ring-mqtt)
• Locations and ring-mqtt devices to monitor status of locations (websocket, camera polling, power, etc) and ring-mqtt process itself

v5.8.0

• Support for CarCam (assumes no showstopper issues, prototype mostly working now but needs support in ring-client-api which is WIP right now)

Long-term (6-12 months)

v6.0.0

• Snapshot based MJPEG stream to enable integration with NVR services (based on success of experimentation)
• New error recovery model from catastrophic issues/Ring outages
