Can we get grades of spunbond NWPP added? #3
Comments
This is a good idea. We are generally looking into expanding the number of available non-woven materials and will also consider adding some of this information in the future. |
Screenshot from your app: 945 GSM shown in your chart. I've results for SmartFab single weight layered up to @ 1064 GSN (same NIOSh flow rate) - That pic from page - https://fu-cv.blogspot.com/2021/08/lab-tests-for-spunbond-polypropylene.html I've also results from an 80 GSM x 6 layers test same flow rate, 300 nm particles: That pic from doc - https://paulhammant.com/files/Spunbond_Polypropylene-suitability_for_high_filtration_masks.pdf These results are way higher than the one of the 'fmviz' app as you have it. |
I am going to forward this to our team for discussion later this week to see if we can come up with some kind of solution. Thanks for reminding me about this thread. |
As an initial improvement, Smartfab entries now indicate the grams per square meter (GSM) in the description instead of "thick". Specifically, "Smartfab, thick" corresponds to 63 GSM. |
Isn’t smartfab 40 and 68 GSM? I’ve made masks with 80 gsm (my study), and
now also have 150
|
We measured our as-received material (which we received indirectly) to be 63 GSM. This is to say, THE 63 GSM value is based on weighing the material rather than the information given by the manufacturer. |
I weighed mine too. I do for all my samples. I’ll ask my maker community
|
This remains interesting. I have sent an email to continue this discussion in a different format. |
other too perhaps?
