Hi @kimxwan0319, thanks for raising this.

Inspecting a vanilla Xcode project created through the UI, embedding app extensions doesn't usually have this option checked. Reading through the referenced link there could potentially be other items causing the particular issue you faced. Are you able to reproduce this in a small project you can share? This will help us better understand where the issue lies and figure out when this option is needed.

I'm having the same problem - I get the very same error as well with a NotificationAppExtension.

Our problem turned out to be an app id problem - but this is still something I think worth adding.
