Releases: tukkek/shatteredlite
1.4
This release serves two main purposes:
- Speeding up the first hour or so of gameplay by providing players with a full stack of both tonics and elixirs and an initial amount of experience and iron bits to be spent on a full set of magical gear and components. While the overall pacing of the mod is decent, the initial runs into the Shattered Realm felt somewhat like a chore without much strategy to it - this should shorten the 'warm up" period.
- Removing some of the jank from the mod's very first release, including the recommendation to clear the Burial Cave and the need to re-enter the game to spawn the Emissary. These were considered "good enough" trade-offs to get the mod working at first but felt more and more amateur as time went on and solutions became more apparent. With this release, players can just dive straight into their first Shattered Realm run if they want to, much more seamlessly.
1.3 had dropped the need for Waystones by having every shard unlocked by default. While Waystones are still no longer needed, the progression of unlocking shards has been mostly reverted back to vanilla as it turned out not to make much sense progression-wise within a run (especially in hardcore). Mazaan's dialogue tree has also been reorganized to feel more natural and intuitive for players.
Since Waystones are no longer required, Eldritch Essences rewarded by Shattered Realm quests were replaced with iron bits that can be spent or exchanged for Iron Bars and stashed as a form of meta-progression. Essences needed for other uses can still spawn as normal elsewhere.
Changelog:
- Shards unlock like in vanilla again but without needing waystones
- SR Eldritch Essence quest rewards replaced with iron bits
- Garrus, Keeper of Iron now also sells stacks of scrap
- Talking to Bourbon now grants:
- Experience up to level 5
- A full stack of tonics
- A full stack of elixirs
- 20,000 iron bits
- An inventory tab
- Removed Emissary rewards
- Mazaan's dialogue choices were reorganized to be more intuitive
- The Emissary now spawns without needing to quit to the main menu
Shatteredlite 1.3
This update puts an emphasis on boss fights, one of the most interesting and unique features of the Shattered Realm and features much faster progression (up to twice as fast as last release on slower builds).
New features:
- Only 1 floor per shard (plus boss fight)
- All shards are unlocked, waystones not needed
Shatteredlite 1.2
- Devotion points can be purchased from Mazaan
- Limit on maximum devotion points has been removed
- Unlocking Act 7 now gives player an inventory tab
Shatteredlite 1.1
Removes the experience reward from completing the first Emissary quest on all difficulties. This is intended to combat (minimally) the experience-bomb upon completing your first Shattered Realm shard.
