This PR helps to solve rails/rails#29473 with a fix implemented in rails/rails#31441.

Basically we need a way how to detect XHR redirects in rails-ujs (or anywhere) so we can react correctly when an XHR redirect happens.

@sstephenson Is there any chance getting this merged?

@sstephenson Is there any chance of having a new release including this fix? Temporarily we can install Gemfile from a master branch, but for a long run it would be good to have this as stable tagged release. I see this was merged already in September but no release since then. Could you please tell if new tagged release is planned?

Thanks a lot!

It’s been a couple months since this has been merged, can a new version be released to include this?
