Why is .inspect not called DESC

@yourpropertyexpert Thanks for the feedback! Do you have a specific links / reference for the DESC approach we could look at? Which SQL engine are you referring to for that?

From a design point of view, our primary aim for the meta-commands / dot-commands is ease of use. We felt the postgres commands (e.g. \d) were too complex, and decided to follow a similar model to osquery.

BTW ... Using steampipe service start you get a PostgreSQL endpoint for connection. You can then connect to that using any postgres compatible tool like psql for \? commands or even UI clients like TablePlus.

Oracle uses the same

I'm not worried about advance syntax, but being able to type DESC as a synonym for .inspect would mean I got it right first time :-)
