Have a setting that images are automatically resized to some default (like 800*600), but with the possibility to override this for individual images.
Reason: photos are now often unnecessarily huge and on smartphones they are not easy to resize. So the upload uses a lot of data and also puts much load on the server.
For some cases (eg nature photographies) large images may make sense, but for many everyday situations it would be better to have a smaller size as default with the option to change it.

Ah, that's useful to know.
I would still prefer if I can set it myself, especially when on mobile data.
So if resizing is already implemented, would it just be a matter of adding a box in the settings and a dialog before the upload?
