Add an option to display reply, favourite and boost counts also on timeline #934
Comments
related to #882 I am against showing the numbers in the timeline per default, also no big fan of an additional option, but I guess I would accept a PR 🤔 |
You mean like #885 ? 😉 |
#885 has no option to turn it off and only has reply count. |
The official Mastodon Android client (which was released since this issue was opened) does show full counts in the timeline, and I really like it. Honestly, it's why I usually use the official client instead of Tusky - I want to know those counts, and it's too slow to open the detail view of each message. By chance, does that hold any sway for Tusky? Meaning, now that showing the full counts is "standard" is there a greater likelihood that Tusky will offer it? I wonder if @noln would have any interest in reprising #1369? :) |
Fixed with #3413 |
At the moment in the timeline the reply icon indicates the presence of replies (but not their number) and favourite and boost counts are shown only opening a toot in its own view.
I think it would be nice to add an option in app preferences to display reply, boot and favourite counts in every toot, both the ones in home timeline and the ones displayed as replies to currently opened toot.
At the moment you need to open each toot in its own view to see favourite and boost counts and scroll down to see how many replies it has. Then open each reply to see its favourite and boost counts and so on.
