The text of the subject line in the new email body view is not selectable, in both settings for the conversation thread.

Test notes

  • The short (non-wrapped) subject can be selected (also in the sticky header)
  • Long (wrapping) subject can be selected

Make subject always selectable in ConversationViewer

The issue exists because we show floating subject on top of a normal
subject even when we wouldn't have to. Ideally we should fix that issue
but as an easy workaround we can make the floating subject selectable.
