Some business users might want to sort their contacts by surname.

testing

  • Changing contact sort mode still works
  • The selector shows above the list

testing

  • Contacts will be sorted by first or last name based on the user selection
  • Other factors like company name are taken into account, like before

There is still a pending PR #3103 on this issue which we should decide on. It moves the selector from the left column (where it is kind of hard to find) to the top of the list of contacts (which I like much more). It is much more accessible in mobile view. In case you are wondering, the new bar up top is sticky when scrolling.
