Great catch!
Indeed, it seems like the behavior of the dropdown has been changed during the migration to v5.0, the .show is applied to .dropdown-toggle and not to .dropdown anymore.
Best way to reproduce is:
- Go to https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.6/components/navbar/#supported-content, click the dropdown and tab, the dropdown button looks still activated
- Go to https://main--twbs-bootstrap.netlify.app/docs/5.3/components/navbar/#supported-content, click the dropdown and tab, the dropdown button looks not activated
