Enabling Hardware Video Decoding Support for Older Hardware in Linux

I've tried lot of chromium based browser in my system, but none of them has hardware video acceleration. It can play YouTube videos and others, but it not using GPU. If it possible i suggest to use patch from Thorium browser because only this browser that has this capability from every chromium browser that I've tried.
CPU: Intel Celeron N3350
OS: Debian 12

@uazo Yes, this is due to me enabling some things that are normally disabled by default. In this file > https://source.chromium.org/chromium/chromium/src/+/main:media/base/media_switches.cc you should enable these following "BASE_FEATURES" by changing base::FEATURE_DISABLED_BY_DEFAULT); to base::FEATURE_ENABLED_BY_DEFAULT);

And then, you should guard this flag behind an "is chromeos" thing

is that same as passing "--disable-features=UseChromeOSDirectVideoDecoder" in command line?

after disabling ChromeOS Direct Video Decoder, we need enable those 3 feature, right?

kPlatformHEVCEncoderSupport is not a linux flag.
kVaapiVideoDecodeLinuxGL is disabled by default
kEnableTabMuting should have nothing to do with it

I would say you should try it, but first I would rule out a driver issue by checking with chrome.

Yes, enabling this kVaapiVideoDecodeLinuxGL and disabling UseChromeOSDirectVideoDecoder fix the issue
i also enable VaapiVideoEncoder
