I think it'd be really useful with jsmodem-like networking support in jslm32, and I'd like to start working on it. Do you have any recommendations for how to implement it? I don't know anything about the LatticeMico platform, but I see there is an UART. I guess it could be used as in jsmodem?

Hi ysangkok... And thanks for your interest :)

I was planning to add jsmodem-like networking to jslm32 too, but gave up after not being able to get the pppd daemon to compile for the board. I used the (somewhat old) images provided by Lattice... If you're able to get that to compile, I think networking support could be added with relative ease.

I can't find the lm32linux-<yyyymmdd>.tar.gz (referenced in "Building the Linux Port to LatticeMico32 System User Guide") packages anywhere (if that's what you're referring to).

I found a working cross-compiler here: http://www.ohwr.org/projects/general-cores/wiki/Demo but there are no headers.

The toolchain is referenced here too: http://lekernel.net/blog/2011/10/soc-milkymist-le-developpement-logiciel-en-pratique/ but the links are dead.

There is a guide here that looks like it works with stock packages and patches, but I didn't try it: http://www.milkymist.org/wiki/index.php?title=User:Mwalle

Would Milkymist binaries work?

Closing this since I think it is an unactionable open-ended feature request.
