Change ugly skype icon

Awesome plugin!

Is there any possibility to manually change the skype icon? I want to change the skype icon in the tray since ... 3 years or something.

I'd even hardcode something inside the extension, so if you could point me at the specific location in the code I'd be really happy.

Changing icons would require adding some sort of icon translation map into
the plugin, which I'm not really willing to do. You should look in
appIndicator.js and hack somewhere in the icon creation / loading
functions. You should be aware that AFAIK sni-qt does some weird mangling
with the icon names, so a simple map of old to new icon names might not
suffice (i did not test that, though). I will accept pull requests if you
manage to make a generic solution that seems maintainable in the long term.

I consider this solved thanks to this awesome extension that finally brings a decent icon set for skype: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/696/skype-integration/

Anyway, I'd love to see the appindicator extension working with 3.10 :)

The appindicator extension does work with 3.10, just add the version number to metadata.json. This bug can be closed, I think?

I'll close it now as WONTFIX because the reporter doesn't have the original issue anymore and I'm not willing to work on it either.
