Only replace the selected text with new value using replaceNodeChildren

Hello, as the title says, I need to only replace the selected text on the plate editor with the new node.

Until now, I was trying something like this but I had no luck:

    replaceNodeChildren(editor, {
      at: editor.selection?.anchor.path ?? [0], // I need a fix for this place
      nodes: [
        {
          type: "p",
          children: [
            {
              text: "new node"
            },
          ],
        },
      ],
    });

I'm not sure what exactly you want to achieve here. Can you share an example of the Slate value and selection before and after your desired change?

You can delete the currently selected text using deleteText, which defaults to the current selection. If necessary, you can split the node that previously contained the selection using splitNodes. You can then insert the replacement node at the desired path.

My use case evolves around generating some text using an API endpoint for the selected text, then replacing the created text with the old one (only the selection).

Let's say the actual slate value is Today I want to create something and after changing it, it should be something like Today I want to create something perfect! etc.

Currently with this solution it just replacing all editor value but I only need to replace the selected text which I get from getSelectionText(editor):
