What’s the bug you are facing?

--- can be used as a quick shortcut to insert a horizontal rule. This shortcut will work when typing three dashes at the start of a new line. The issue is when a horizontal rule is inserted using this method, an extra line is also added which needs to be removed manually. Refer to below GIF:
