Setup email subscriptions server virtual machine on DigitalOcean.

Virtual Machine Setup Tasks

• Setup SSH keys. (See #14 Setup SSH keys for Digital Ocean)
• Create droplet on Digital Ocean.
  • Ubuntu 18.04.3 (LTS) x64.
• Connect to Droplet on DigitalOcean with SSH. How to Connect to Droplets with SSH
  • ssh root@[Droplet’s IP address]
• Make sure Ubuntu is up to date by running;
  • apt update
  • apt upgrade
• Install nvm.
  • Test that nvm is installed correctly. Run nvm --version. If it's not see install instructions here.
• Install the latest LTS (stable) version of Node.js with nvm install --lts.
  • Make sure the correct LTS/stable version installed is correct by running node -v. Output should match.

Email Subscriptions Server Setup

• Clone the repository
  git clone https://github.com/universelabs/universe-engineering.git.
• Install dependencies npm i.
• Add secrets to env.
  • $ export [secret]
• Setup production Node environment by running export NODE_ENV=production.

in order to run npm run build on the server you have to Resize the droplet to be 2GB RAM.

so i can get the app running on port 5000 but need to figure out nginx so that it will run directly from the IP address.
