  • A brief discussion on the work Sebastin did till now. Also, a long-term/ short-term goal about UserContext was put forward by Rishabh/Sebastin.

  • An explanation by Sebastin about the wikihow work he did in the past couple of days, and his ideas on how he’ll proceed further.

  • Discussion on possible research questions:

    • Comparing different recommender systems.
    • Creating a rich ontology tree, based out of the existing one.
  • One of the major issues Prof. Emine put forward was how will we rank the recommendations?

  • A discussion between Prof. Emine and Rishabh about whether to treat tasks as entity or not. Manisha’s paper was taken into reference.

  • A discussion on whether to start freebase(?) or use an already existing ontology tree and build it further.

  • Discussion on UI. How can a UI be designed for Task Completion? Can have gamification of tasks. Also, take inspirations from Bloomberg Terminal. A minor discussion on Sebastin’s GSoC experience in UI.

  • In the end, the meeting concluded arranging all the ideas which were discussed and in defining phases on how we’ll be proceeding with solving these issues. The project is divided into phases, at the moment:

    1. Task Information Extraction
    2. Designing User Interface
  • We will be giving the highest priority to the first one, but the second one is not to be avoided. UserContext being a B2C setup, the UI plays a major role in how we are able to sell this idea across to the user.

  • We also planned on meeting every week for updates.
