I'm new to Ushahidi development but looking at the Ushahidi code now. I had the same problem as reported in http://dev.ushahidi.com/issues/show/1257, my custom themes not showing up. I made the suggested fix and it works now.
Also, I changed the advanced installer map page to say "OpenStreetMap" rather than "Open Street Maps" which is not really correct. No spaces in the name.
If these fixes are useful, then please accept them. Cheers.
