of 2.5 you can compare the maps on http://powercuts.in (runnign an old version) and the test site.

This is because the timeline comes disabled by default. Go to you map
settings on the admin backend and enable timeline., here

The graph is visible. But the "Play" button is still gone? Was that completely removed in the new version?

Pinging @kamaulynder. Was the play icon deprecated when we turned this into an on and off feature? Cost of Chicken Crowdmap deployers are having a hard time working with it right now :(

Play button was removed yes. This won't be fixed now that 2.x is bugfix only.
